Dating products built for African markets first

D8N was not built in a mature market and exported. It was built to run dating products in Nigeria and South Africa, where romance fraud is organised and professional and where card-only payments quietly exclude most of your addressable market.

Payments that match how people actually pay

Cards, wallets and bank transfers all matter, and the mix differs by country. Payment routing is per market on D8N, so pricing in the local currency through the locally expected method is configuration rather than a project.

Fraud defences built against organised operations

Detection tuned for opportunistic bad behaviour does not survive contact with professional romance fraud: managed account inventory, shift patterns, tested scripts and a cash-out pipeline. Building against that from the start produces a different system, and it is the system every brand on the platform inherits.

Markets and languages are configuration

Discovery boundaries, onboarding language, per-market policy and per-market pricing are part of a brand definition. Adding Ghana or Kenya to a brand already live in Nigeria is configuration plus a payment provider relationship.

Proven where it is hardest

Date9ja runs in Nigeria and DateZA in South Africa on this platform today. Systems that hold up under those conditions are not the ones that struggle in easier markets — which is the argument for launching anywhere else on infrastructure that was tested here first.

QUESTIONS

Straight answers

If the answer you need isn’t here, ask us directly — we will tell you plainly when D8N is not the right fit.

Which African markets does D8N support?

Nigeria and South Africa are live today with D8N's own brands. Ghana, Kenya and other markets are configuration plus a local payment provider relationship rather than a platform change.

Can members pay without a card?

Yes. Payment routing is per market and covers wallets and bank transfers alongside cards, because card-only is a decision to exclude most of the market in several of these countries.

Why does building in Africa first matter?

Because the hard problems arrive earlier and at higher volume — organised romance fraud, fragmented payments, expensive data, uneven connectivity. A platform that works under those constraints works elsewhere; the reverse is not reliably true.

Is a D8N-powered app really my brand?

Yes. Your name, domains, theme, copy, pricing, app store listings and member relationships are yours. The only D8N marks members see are the trust marks — Protected by D8N and D8N Verified — which exist because a visible mark is what makes verification worth passing.

Where do I start?

Tell us the market, the audience and whether you are launching a new brand or adding D8N to an app you already run. Those three answers decide whether white label, the API, or a custom build is the right shape, and we will say plainly if it is none of them.
